Why did you involve your family??? You are the one who is going to have to live, eat and sleep with her not your family. If you love her and visa versa I say get hitched. They might talk about you for a while but eventually you will tommorrows news to them. You got to make you happy and if its with this girl go for it!!! Wish you well!!!

Well, if the love is real, it will last. Since everybody else's opinion is so important, try this: Stay engaged, and use the time (maybe a year or more) to convince those others that she's the right one. Maybe they'll come around. Anyway, if you both make it that long, then get married anyway.

If you really love her then you should marry her. Forget what your family thinks. I'm white and my boyfriend is Mexican & Korean. Some of my family doesn't agree with it but I love him so I dont care. If they want to be prejudice and judge someone for the color of their skin they are not close to God and they are very close-minded. Some people are like that but like I said if you love this girl truly with all your heart then you have to tell them that you are making this choice and you would like them to support you. Tell them if they dont they just need to know that that's their choice, not yuors and you hope that one day they will see what a great person she is, just like you do.

You can marry without your family's approvals but your life could wind up being miserable. When cultures and races come together issues arise especially regarding religion and children. Be sure to look at all the pros and cons

Society can exert enormous pressures to conform, so you have to make the decision as to whether you wish to acced to the demands of your family or be with the person you love.
This is a decision only you two can honestly make

Here's where you went wrong: you asked for your family's opinion. Now maybe they gave you their opinions without asking, but if so, you should have told them you don't give a rat's hindquarters. Opinions are like as*holes -- everybody has one. A man has to make his own decisions for himself. Don't be a wimp -- marry the woman you love.

You're an adult now. You can marry who you choose to marry and that's all there is to it. If your parents don't approve, that's their problem.
