I heard this from someone. It's not meant to be a rude question. In the instance they are shipwrecked and alone on the island for 50 years, what will happen???

Not necessarily, if the Island is inhabited with other people then it wouldn't be wise, but on the other hand if the island were deserted then it's more than likely they would.
