Democrats,, The Donkey was actually a JackAss to make fun of Andrew Jackson. He liked the symbol and it has remained the symbol of the Liberal party.

Thomas Nast was trying to come up with a cartoon to show the Grand Old Party or the Republicans. He choose the Elephant due to it's size and stature. It struck a chord with the american public and the symbol has remained.

The mascots have been assigned by applying applying a newspaper basically after the Civil conflict (i think of of). The elephant have been given right here from Republicans being calm cool and amassed till at last angered and that they'd mow down their warring events like an elephant. i think of of the donkey is older although. it would desire to have come out of the Democrat-Republic celebration early interior the nineteenth century.

Probably. But I was brought to believe that an elephant is one animal that doesn't forget and is patient; the donkey represents stubbornness and "pulling" together and sticking together. Of course, if one actually looks at what we have for members of either party, one should think twice of joining either party. Why? Both are crooks, both hurt the common folk, both lie at the drop of a hat, and both want money - only money to spew their lies. As for conservatives and liberals, these two terms have been manufactured by the media and both terms scare the hell out of anyone who actually has a brain and uses it.

Elephants are considered to have good memories. The current GOP symbol should be an elephant holding an oxycontin prescription, however. The GOP has become addicted to power and hatred. Shame, really.

The donkey is considered stubborn; a fighter; a beast of burden.

republicans are strong, wise, have deep familial ties and thankfully, long memories.

democrats are impetuous, like to stir the pot and kick up the dirt - their logo speaks for itself.
