Psychology can state two detailed answers for these questions, just the answer your looking for is up to you. Silence of the mind can be bought in a way, but remember money doesn't always buy everything. True peace of mind is determined by your own onset of life and how you look at it with your own perspective. The other answer is the absence of thought, to be silenced is a psychological state in one which is absent from mind or body. Neither can be bought per say, but if you look at it the right way the answer will be staring at you.

If you want silence you need to get away from people and that is aproblem since here rises the question of money. If you find a way to make money without any contact with people that would be a major breakthrough and please let me know on the key. I'm in urgent need for silence and serenity...

yes you can buy silence but not at a store because that is a lot of drama and yelling.But if you want to buy silence you must give your children money and tell them to go any where just not at the house and that is how a person can buy silence.

No, I don't think so. Genuine silence is more of our minds' doing rather than that of a physical state. One can achieve the peace of silence amidst boisterous crowds or howling elephants. Just empty your mind and be synchronized with everything around you. Peace is, after all, a struggle of the mind.
