I don't know if it can be put to one thing but, if I had to choose only one it would be the testimony I received that God is our father and is there for us.
I will share with anyone who will listen and you can tell me that you don't believe me and that's okay too.
I served in the army and was in iraq for Operation Desert Storm. I was going through some of the toughest time of my life and It got so bad that I was prepared to injure myself to get sent home. I had not been able to talk to my young wife for weeks and had received no mail from home. I had a wife and 2 daughters (1 was 3 months old).
I was at the point where I had a hammer in my right hand and was prepared to crush my left when the feeling came to me so strong, I dropped the hammer. The feeling was that I needed to pray. I don't remember what I said but it was from the heart and when I finished, I received an answer from God that All would be well. I won't detail how I got the answer here but you can email me at tomtippets@hotmail.com and I will be happy to tell you about it.
To end the story, the next day I got 6 letters that my wife had sent and I learned that her parents had flown her to their home when the fighting began because they didn't want her to be alone. I will never forget that experience and it made a big difference in my life.
There are a number of other times that I have had life changing experiences but they seem to all stem around God.

My children. Nothing has changed me more for the good!! I can't even imagine my life with out them!! They have made me put my life into perspective & learn to see the world through different eyes. It has been the most difficult adjustment, just because it's a big change to go from being selfish to trying to be selfless but I can't even think of anything more rewarding then to be able to raise my girl's!! They are my life!!

I can't say one thing SPECIFICALLY made me who I am... I'm a collection of many things... events, choices, experiences...
But the one pivotal moment that changed my life forever was the death of my father in 1996.

Having a child; being responsible for someone else makes you grow up fast. I'm a lot more patient than I used to be.

My life has never change. I have always love God. Though I confess I don't show it in my action all the time. And for that I'm truly sorry. I would like to add, that it is not because of me that I have faith. It's because of Him. May the almighty God have mercy on me, and bring me to everlasting life.
