At first glance, I thought this was a simple question with an obvious answer. But it's not and that's why I like your questions, they're designed to get people thinking.
I suppose all of them could be comfort zones depending on one's perspective. Personally, I can't see a prison as a comfort zone, but to some prisoners, it has become one. An asylum, by definition alone, is a safe retreat. The problem is, the word has become so closely associated with mental institutions that many have forgotten it's original usage. A hide-out can be anywhere and for any reason; the fact that it's hidden is enough to make it a comfort.
The obvious answer: home. Though, for many, their home is not their comfort zone but their place of hell. "Home is where the heart is" but if there is no heart (love), is there no home? Too many cannot find comfort or peace in their homes.
Given all that, I'd say my answer is Asylum...because a safe retreat can be anywhere, including one's mind.

For me, a COMFORT ZONE is a Home, MY Home, to be exact. I know from what I'm about to explain is that people will think that I'm using my Home as a Hide Out but it's where I feel most comfortable - it's my Comfort Zone.
I mean, whenever I'm out running errands or doing anything, I just feel like the whole world is judging based on everything that I do. Whenever we come in from whatever we're doing my husband always tells me everybody was staring at me. I don't believe him when he says that because I don't believe that the whole world is watching my every move. Maybe it is because I rarely go outside or do anything because I like being a loner; I like living a private life.
Anyway, I have lived with other people many times throughout my life and it's always like walking on eggshells around another person's house or to be on my toes when another person is living with me. I'm always setting an example for everyone else of the world whether I like it or not and I just have to accept my role as that.

Without a doubt it must be a hide out. Only in a hide out
is an individual free to behave exactly as the individual
chooses without the possibility of infringing on anyone's
rights.
Home is the best for support, but support doesn't imply
comfort. In my opinion, an individual who constantly supports
another individual and lets them take the easy way out
is not doing a favor for the other individual because the
other individual doesn't have an opportunity to learn
self-sufficiency and independence. It follows that without
self-sufficiency the individual probably won't be comfortable
outside of the home. Therefore, home is not the most
comfortable based on indirect external comfort.

I reckon it's an asylum. Nothing wrong with that, if you like the other inhabitants. We all need a break, sometime. At its best a comfort zone is a kind of home we can come back to for reflection, to examine what we've learned and refresh our courage. But if we do not venture forth, it becomes a prison. Many people prefer that to the uncertainties of freedom. I reckon we are all the victims of what we fear to lose, and are diminished by what we hide.

What's an assylum... never heard of or read about it? Could it be by chance that you put 2 s instead of one?
COMFORT ZONE is absence of too many unfulfilled desires... the mental asylum may hold some such cases.

I'd call a COMFORT ZONE a home, since it's the territory I inhabit within the perimeters I establish. I allow some people in mine while there are others I'd consider trespassers (They will be shocked).

A comfort zone is our own little mental bubble. It goes where we go. We only allow certain things to enter into it, and to be exposed to.
It's good to be pulled through our comfort bubble once in a while, to broaden our horizons and ways of thinking. To be exposed to the problems around us, and get out of our comfort zone to help.

Comfort zones exist to alleviate fear and anxiety. It is an asylum for people to think instead of experiencing the world.
