Only four spider groups are considered medically significant. They are:
Phoneutria - Wandering spiders - includes the most most venomous spider
Atrax - Funnel web spiders
Latrodectus - Widow spiders
Loxosceles - Recluse spiders

Technically 99.99% of spiders are venomous, however very few can cause any harm and some can't even penetrate you skin with their bite. Even with the most dangerous spiders cause very few deaths (13 from Sydney funnel webs in the last 100 years) and fataleties from widow and recluse spiders are extrmely rare and are unlikely to cause death in anyone ovr 7 or under 65. Some other species have been considered to be medically significant but ususally with no just cause or htrough hysteria an example of this is the hobo spider which is considered to be necrotic in the US, however in Europe it is considered completely harmless. Toxicalogical studies an analysis of "bites" has shown that the venom of the hobo spider in the US is the same as it is in the UK and that it is in fact not necrotic and the cases where it was blamed other important heath factors had been ignored as occasionally had a lack of a spider.
