I'm on an escalator and the thing broke as I was halfway up it. I've been stuck here for two days and I've been passing out due to the lack of food or water. Also, I am cold.
What do I do? (I called my brother on his cell phone and I told him to type this)

First, use cell phone to order pizza... all is not lost.
I linked a place where you can take electrician courses by mail...
If that doesn't work take off all of your clothes and fashion a makeshift rope... not that this will help, but a rope is a handy thing to have.
After taking off all of your clothes, start shouting that you know about the aliens. (Not the illegal Mexican ones, the green ones with the big heads). Things like "You'll never control me you Martian freaks!" or "I know you're just aliens wearing human suits!" The disturbances will be picked up via satellite and relayed to alien command (really!) and they'll send someone to help you (usually the police).

Presumably your pants have a belt. Take the belt off and swing it up so that the buckle catches on the rafters, then swing yourself from the holey end. Let go at the top of your swing and that should get you to the top of the escalator. If you want to be at the bottom, slide down the rail.

Look around you. Do you see any wood that you could use to start a fire? Also, if you're at a mall, does it have a sunroof?
If so, try spelling out "help" on the ground so passing planes can see you.
