How hard would it be, to be friends with someone you are in love with, with that person knowing how you feel about them, yet they tell you they only want to be friends.

I believe that it would only lead to heart break because if you really love that person then it's highly likely that deep down inside you're hoping they'll come around one day and feel the same for you.
It would be really hurtful when you finally realised that it was never going happen.....
If i felt that way i would distance myself from them.
I belive it would be too hard to control your feelings.

If they just want to be friends--it is their choice. Often a person is too busy for a love life. if they are a friend, you must show them respect for how they want to relate to you. just because you want more is NO reason to expect them to change their mind. You can never force anyone to do anything. If you want a relationship, go find someone who is willing to have one with you. If you act like a jerk, you won't get anywhere. Being in love means you are a friend--how could it be anyother way??

yeah I know it hurts but... there is nothing we can do about it. That's what I do with my friends they keep asking me out but... i always tell them that I only want to be friends with them, maybe because not that i don't want to be more than a friend's with them... it just that; it takes time for a friendship 2 grow. so... just wait or just move on.

That is incredibly hard and I have never been able to do it. I didn't want to be friends after I told my friend I liked him, he made me feel really stupid for it.

Just be friends you can't make a person love you if they don't love you the way you want them to. I wouldn't be comfortable to be with a person I don't love so wouldn't you.it takes two.

If I loved someone in a romantic way, and it were unrequited: I would still cherish any opportunity to spend time with them. Love is a strange hungry beast.

yeah it's pretty hard ...you know at the beginning,,,it'll feel really awkward ... but as time passes by it'll be back to normal before you know it!! :)
