What is hymenoplasty and how far it is useful?

It's used to surgically restore the hymen for women who live in primitive societies. These women fear they will be rejected by their new husbands if they've lost their virginity, and so they go through this discomfort to pretend that they've never had sex. A right waste of time.

Its an absurd procedure. First of all- many virgins have stretched or burst thier hymens without having sex, so it is not a clear sign of virginity or not.
Second- virginity is not about the hymen in my book. Even if it is somehow surgically "fixed", it does not make someone a virgin all over again.

a surgical procedure to re-create the hymen (virginity) after it has been broken during sex (or a gynaecological/ medical procedure).
