how can i get my bay tree to look like all the posh ones ? mine is a stick with six leaves and leans to one side, oh dear!

Oh dear, indeed! If it's in a pot, try transplanting it into fresh, good quality potting compost and giving it a good feed - it might be hungry! If it's in the ground, feed it well, with a good quality feed.

You could also try 'nipping' out the very tiny top leaves, to encourage more growth from the lower half of the tree, and to encourage it to be more bushy.

It might also be leaning towards the light, so if it's in a pot, try rotating it, weekly, to encourage even growth. Good luck!

Feed it with that blood suppliment from a gardening centre,it will soon perk up(or buy a fake one as most of the posh ones are)

you don't say where you live, you might start with a smaller tree, bay trees grow slow, but have a long tap root. good luck

More light, MiracleGro, remove the terminal bud to encourage side branching.
