You could try here but I wouldn't expect anything too flashy - my brother got one from here for £200 (refurbished) but it suits his needs - runs all the basic functions and is ideal for work and study. - Don't expect to be able to play anything but solitaire though!

Laptops on the market never seem to be set up for basic word processing/internet largely to do with the fact most aren't business consumers and can be easily convienced they need more than they do.
Look for companies specifically targeting businesses, such as PC World business.
