Use a card that supports dual monitors, ie, GeForce or ATI, most new cards today even the cheapest ones will support it as long as it has 2 sockets.
Then you can add PCI cards to support a third monitor,
Matrox do a range of twin/quad monitor cards also.but expensive.

What you are referring to is an extended desktop. This is easily done if you have a dual head graphics card (two places to plug in a monitor) or a combination of 2 graphics cards or a graphics card and on-board graphics. If you have one of these combinations, you just right click on the desktop, go to properties, click onto the settings tab. In the "display" box, there should be 2 or more items in the list. Simply change the drop down box to the secondary display and click enable. Wella! extended desktop.

If you want to distribute the same signal (Image) into multiple monitors, you can use either Video card that support dual monitor, or use extended desktop

if you want one signal to be divided into monitors matrix to generate a large screen, you need to use video signal multiplexer

regards,
:)
