Stephen King wrote a book called, "On Writing." The entire first half is about how he became a writer and how he overcame significant drug and alcohol problems, and it's excellent. The second half is about how to write, and it's terrific, too.

it's not really an autobiography but it is a true story that was written by a woman Rita Katz about her life and goal to "catch the bad guys" it's great
