If this is your first time on the pill or you have recently changed brands of birth control pills the period can be delayed for a short time.
Also, sometimes being stressed out (regardless of whether the situation causing the stress is good or bad) can affect our periods being delayed as well.

the only thing that will stop you getting pregnant is no sex. so there is a chance that you may be pregnant. the bleeding that you have while on the Pill is not true Period.
have you had any sickness/diarrohea as these eilleffect Pill effectiveness and can led to pregnancy.
also, have you lost alot weight quickly?? this can effect your periods.
is this a new Pill that you've started?? sometimes it takes a little time for your body to adjust and you can miss periods.
ultimately, take a pregnancy test urgently!!!

The body is very susceptible to stress, this can delay a period or start it early. Start taking the pill as normal, if you still haven't had a period in the next 4 weeks, have a pregnancy test.

Anything could be a factor -- your weight, your nutrition, the amount of exercise you are or are not getting. NO form of birth control is 100% effective (except, I guess, abstinence), so you need to take that precaution into account. Give it a couple more days, and if your period doesn't start, call your OB/GYN or take an OTC pregnancy test.

It is still possible to get pregnant, no matter what precautions are taken. Since you are due for your cycle again go ahead and get one of the EPT tests for early detection and see if you are. It is dangerous to take BC pills when you are pregnant due to the hormones. Schedule with your Dr too for a blood test as urine tests are not always accurate!
Best of luck to you.

the pill fakes your body into thinking it's pregnant. you probably should still talk to your doctor. but it may just be your body doesn't think it should be having a period.

stop stressing... It delays periods. Relax and wait and remember the body changes every so often. If you were pregnant that baby can play the invisible kid til he wants to.I know people who's babies hid for months from blood, urine tests and ultrasounds.
