With the international as that is and getting worse with the aid of the 2d; and sin continues to be sin whether every physique believes it or not, it would not be a marvel if an athiest ran for president. yet he will have ninety% of the yankee people not sharing his theory, so of direction, he will run into some severe issues attempting to get elected with the aid of theists. i don't think of it may take place. He might ought to attack all of the powers that be. And the powers that be will conquer it as they have simply by fact the break of day of time. playstation I disagree alongside with your theory that atheists have solutions for each thing. additionally experience hough many have faith in "some style of God" would not substitute the undeniable fact that God is God and could probable not permit an atheist substitute into president. Prayer nevertheless works.

I disagree - I think the American people would elect any one with specific values. I think those values are: Loyalty, Patriotism, history of service with integrity, credible experience, shared common values.
The problem with electing an atheist in America is that most Americans think he/she is probably void in most of those other areas. If better than 80% of Americans identify with some religion (whatever it is) – I think they will have a hard time electing someone who does not share those values.

Even if we did they would never admit to it. I don't even think this should be an issue just like I don't think a president being a Christian for example should be an issue. One's religious beliefs or lack of them shouldn't factors in one's decision of president. It should be based on the issues.

I think someone running with atheism as a part of their plank would lose. I also think some atheists and agnostics and the like have occupied the White House but never made it an issue.

If we are applying for a job it would be illegal for our potential employer to ask our religious orientation. By electing a president we are in essense hiring him so why is it not also illegal to ask potential presidential applicates their religious affiliation.
