Nope, I cannot. I don't even need to go out and look, because I happen to live in a valley in the Rocky mountains that has big mountains to the west of it and enormous mountains with snow still on them to the east.

I did go out and look to see what the most distant thing I can see is, and it turns out it's Venus, which is glowing quite brightly tonight ;)

The moon either hasn't risen, or is already gone, or I would be able to see the tops of the huge mountains to my east, which, if they were accessible, would be about 20 miles away, but that includes the 9000 ft. elevation. When the moon is rising behind those mountains, we can see individual trees on the summit.

I cannot see the horizon, because it is blocked by gorgious trees, both very spring green and some wonderful dark red ones... the furthest I can look is about 300 meters away, the local elementary school is peeking through those big trees... It's a very calm, green silent, small village... peaceful. :)

I live on the beach and at the end of the water's edge is the horizon. I can see nothing beyond that as nothing obstructs my view except for the occasion ship in the distance.
