simple. login to your email and check one of the email sent by him or to him in your email ( either in To, Cc Fields )
There if you find the smiley still smiling .. Bang.. he / she is in stealth mode !!!
I trust Yahoo hasnt still fixed this one !!
But, whats the point in knowing it. ???!!!! if the person actually isnt interested in talking to you ??? ;)

If they wish to be seen, they would.
If you want to go online without being seen, and everyone else can see you, whats the point ?

if u get the mesg "Requesting Access" then he is online and not accepting ur invitation.
if u get the mesg cam is not available then......cant say.lol.
