Before you consider magical spell books, and there are lots of flaky ones out there, you need to decide what it is you want. If you are considering Wicca, Scott Cunningham wrote a book "Wicca for the Solitary Practitioner". If you haven't had any exposure to things magical or wiccan, I suggest you read this book first. I think you'll find that what you might be looking for in a casting spells just isn't there. There really is validity in the saying "what goes around comes around" so you need to not set something in motion via intention that you don't want returning to you. The first law of practicing Wiccans is: "First, do no harm". Without any other info about you, I would say be very careful the people and path you get mixed up with as it's just as easy to find the wrong ones as the right one.

You're better off searching the internet. By "real" magic I'm guessing you want something that effects the outside world? perhaps you should look into some of the old grimoires like Le petit Albert, Dragon Rouge, The 6th and 7th Books of Moses, The Key of Solomon, etc....I don't suggest too many of the easy to find books. I do hear, though, that the Necronomicon is useful, even if it was a bit of hoax it seems to work...a few practitioners there. Yeah, You'd have to spend over 50 dollars a book in certain cases, like Brother Moloch's Books. I hear they are worth every penny though, I'm thinking of getting a few of his books some time in the future. :)

Please don't buy a 'real magic spell book.' First you need to know what real magic is. If you can define it, you can perform it. I am not trying to mislead you, but you can't just buy a book. You need to know what you are doing and why before you attempt a spell. Once you know that, you will realize that there are no 'real' spell books. That is why witches through the ages have made their own spells. That's what has been burned in the witch hunts. Sorry dear, but you would never catch a real witch buying a spell from anyone. Magic is as personal as one's own underwear. Would you wear your friend's underwear daily? Thought not. Learn the path, decide if it is for you, then you will understand why my answer is that one does not exist.

define "real magic"?? spells and such should not be from a book, most "spells" that are cast ( if you will ) are and should be written by the person not copied from a commercial book.

if you don't know this then you should not be casting anything
I implore you to think about what and why you feel the need to cast and remember what you send out comes back to you

screw "spellbooks" every act of will is an act of magick, and magick is the art of causing change to happen in conformity with will. do you search for spells to acquire what you want, or what you will? perhaps you don't know what your true will is. I suggest that, rather than reciting somebody else's poetry thinking that it's magick, go and get something written by Aleister Crowley. If you are serious about magick, read what he has written. If you find it difficult to understand Crowley, because believe me, with all of the very encripted allusionry, it CAN be difficult to grasp at first, then go get something about Crowley by alexander duquette. Perhaps this will help you onto the path of discovering your true will, because only an act of will is an act of magick, and EVERY act of magick is an act of will. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. Love is the law, love under will.
