If you're old enough to drive, and old enough to drink, then I would assume that you're old enough to be repsonsible. Obviously not, since you honestly don't seem sorry, plus you want to blame the city and the dmv for your inconvenience now. How inconvenienced would someone be if you had hit and seriously hurt, or even killed, them while you were driving around intoxicated? Worse yet, what if you had hit a child? Sorry....no anwers or sympathy here....and I'm glad that you live far across the country so that I don't have to worry about encountering you on the highway.

You're lucky, most insurance carriers will drop you like a hot potato with a DUI, let alone subsequent charges. Buy a bus pass, it's a lot less than $535 per month, and you chances of landing yourself in jail are much less By the way, by all means do as Eustuff suggests and explore Title 49 CFR. You will discover that it DOES explicitly exempt drivers of recreational vehicles FROM FEDERAL COMMERCIAL LICENCING. It has nothing whatsoever to do with your state driver's license. I'm sure the judge would be amused by that attempt to avoid licensing or insurance regulations.

Well, Paris Hilton got 90 days but she is a prima donna. You should look forward to jail time. What will it take for you to learn to behave like a mature responsible adult? The DUI conviction should have done it, but it obviously didn't. Obey the law and you should have no further problems.

Well it sounds like someone should have given you more information about how to take care of it, if they can call or somehow find out proof that you did send off the proper paperwork than you should be OK after seeing the judge.

You broke the law. Period. The judge will question you to ascertain the facts and then rule on you. I don't expect him to be nice about it though. More than likely, you are facing a minimum of increased fines and possible jail time.Next time, don't drink and drive!
