Not in your lifetime. Geographically, it looks good on paper, and I have no doubt that the majority of people in Mexico, for example, could benefit from an infusion of US democracy and infrastructure, and Canada would benefit economically. However, the nationalistic and cultural differences across the three countries preclude any sort of voluntary move to bring them into the fold, short of some type of horrendous external pressure, and annexation by force is not a viable option in the foreseeable future.

As a Canadian it seems to come up in conversation on a regular basis among my group of friends. We always say that no one invades Canada because the USA is under us and no one is that stupid. If the USA, however, invades, there is nothing we'd be able to do, but maybe we'd be safer in general. Things would change a lot, because America and Canada are completely different in so many ways. Financially I don't think it would be beneficial for them to invade Mexico, but Canada has a LOT to offer/get taken away from us. I hope it doesn't happen.

Canada is a British colony and part of the common wealth if the US thinks it can just invade and take over you would have another thing coming. LOL dumb questions like these make me laugh...Do you realize how many countries would start war against you .YOu would turn yourallies against you as well .And you may not realize it as yet but your leaders do ...your not number one in the arms race ....
