Sehwag has trmendous support from Dravid. But even the selectors are kind towards this fellow.

While one of the selector, Venkatapathi Raju had made a remark just prior to the commencement of ODI series against Bangladesh that Sehwag will lead the team in Dravid was unfir, it was his own opinion and was not an official decision. He has been pulled up by BCCI for giving such remarks.
For your kind information, Virender Sehwag has not been appointed as Vice Captain. In fact there is no Vice Captain at present.

Let's make an Indian selector sign up to this forum and ask him to answer this question because frankly nobody in India has a clue why Sehwag is still the vice-captain including himself!

They are trying to keep sehwag into the team on dravid's pressure. Dravid and the selectors know that when sehwag is on a roll india cant lose bcoz of run difference. Sehwag should only play aggressive bcoz thats his style of playing and he shouldnt change it. He should play his natural game.

the two are different personalities. Sehwag is extra aggressive and elementary in his concepts-set with bat and tongue whilst Dhoni is Mr.Cool and he does not communicate lots whilst he's batting yet he continuously speaks precise for my area throughout interviews. i don't think of Dhoni made that remark against Sehwag yet what he stated became into the way he in many cases is.i'm happy that he's back as a captain. I on no account think of Dhoni would believe this sledging or pointless concepts-set.He would have stated it interior the team celebration.i'm hoping this does not take place interior the subsequent tournament. nevertheless Sehwag Captained properly and performed properly i do unlike his "trouble-free remark" one bit.

Sewag is one of the best players in world earlier. Still the board has confident on him. If they take him as vice captain he will be more responsbile for the game.

Beacause, he is not playing well, so if rahul makes him as a vice- captan the pressure will be on sehwag and i think he start playing good
