My friends used to asked me why have i chosen a japanese man as a husband because Japanese are pervert and "lecherous". That was when i was still in my own country and that were how the Japanese are being perceived. Now that i lived here in Japan, I can see it my own eyes, I finds that my own countrymen are more or less the same! So, why bias?

Well, they regard the stereotypers as oblivious and rude, so it's kind of a two-way street. Each culture thinks of itself as best, and many think of other cultures as 'not as good,' which is ridiculous. But, whether you like it or not, there are perverts in EVERY COUNTRY, not just Japan.

Do believe everything you read, there are preverts in every society , race and culture no matter what. Being portrayed like that in Anime, constantly becomes a pain in the ***. However in every society sex sells well unfortunately. that can be especially true unfortunately for the rap industry.

Most men will hide the fact that/if they are perverted. The perverted ones are not playing with a full deck, usually.

I think they are not aware, or they are aware, but just ignore it, because they think that no one understands Japan.
Stereotype is bad, but unavoidable, when you don't have sufficient information.
I personally dislike Japanese men, but I have my personal reasons for that( I was stalked and nearly raped, but couldn't file any complaint). Besides, it varies from culture to culture and from person to person what a "pervert" means.

Since it is their own culture, I'm sure it doesn't really bother them...

Does is bother the average American that people in other countries think that they are warmongers?
