if i were the one to get people interested in anything, appeal to their wallet. you also need the products to go with the ideas. one product already out that costs little $$$ is the light sensors for outside use. most light poles already have them where if you forget to turn on the back door/ front door light, the light sensors detect when to turn it on (and conversely, when to turn it off). the light bulb issue would have to be addressed but often times we leave lights on 'cause we forget to turn them off - big waste of light & money. the application of small use of solar power and the proof of savings on the light bill will often lead people to go further. good luck!

You make solar systems affordable, reliable, and easy to install. You show them real benefits, not wishful thinking. If you can't do this personally, perhaps you can become a sales person for someone who can, but the technology still has a long way to go to be feasible, and manufacturing processes are not without environmental concerns of their own. I hope you are not asking how to coerce people into using solar energy.

well, we are already used to this sun, some of us, anyway, so I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for the most of us. Although I'm not sure how the "night life" would work, but it would probably be pretty neat if we could go back to the "old days" and just live from dawn til dusk, but I'm not sure if that would be fit for everyone, with all the modernization, anyways< Im pretty sure it could work, if everyone was willing to try.
