I've never felt like a boy when I was young but I forced myself to believe that I was one through a pyschological battle during my adolescence and I was taughted wtih my sexuality at the same time. Does anyone have a similar experience?

From my experience, I've felt more like a girl than a boy. I believe the answer to that is more biological than pyschological since my face still does have an uncanny similarity to a woman's

I believe every human being is born with two things...a soul and a body.

I'm convinced that sometimes souls wind up in the wrong bodies. Since we have yet figured out how to remove the soul to place it in the correct body, all we can do is surgically change the body to match the soul inside.

I was lucky in that my soul and my body actually do match, but I have a few friends who weren't as lucky and I see them as extremely brave individuals for following their hearts and souls to live out their lives according to what gender their soul is.

I cannot say that I've had a similar experience myself, but I have friends who have dealt with similar issues. I assume you have heard of transgender people who are born in the body of one sex but feel that in their heart they are the other, like someone born as a boy who feels they should have been a girl. It is a very difficult thing to face. Could this be what you are feeling? I don't want to question your feelings, but I don't think you would be this confused or concerned if it were just a matter of having a feminine face. And as for 'killing your own identity,' lots of people have tried to deny who they are, but all it does is make them miserable, and it usually turns out that they cannot deny who they are forever. While asking for others experiences is a good way to figure some things out, eventually it will come down to how you truly feel you are, and whatever kind of person you may be, be yourself and do not deny it. I wish you luck and happiness.

Transition for me was a matter of freeing my identity...the man inside begging to get out.
It has everything to do with how you relate, how you process thoughts, how you react to situations and nothing to do with sexuality or orientation.
What you need to do to resolve this is see a trained therapist or psychiatrist who is well-versed in gender identity disorder...yes, it is a medical condition! If you have this and are female in gender, but male in every other psychological respect, then you will get that diagnosis. If not, they will tell you what they think you are going through (and there's a long list of other things to choose from).
A lot of female to male transsexuals were in the lesbian community, but some were not. It's not a criteria but it is listed in the diagnosic symptoms manual of mental "disorders" (DSM). Most male to female transsexuals come from the straight community.
Many of us hope the next manual will remove or rename the condition to de-stigmatize it, because it is not unnatural...
It's not what's on the outside. I was a cute dyke and now I'm a great looking guy...the hormone's help! If you look like a girl in the face, then you're way ahead of those who had to work hard to achieve the same result. (not that transwomen aren't beautiful, because I think they all are).
Please seek a professional opinion and please, please seek it from someone who is supportive of transgender issues or you face discrimination from a medical service provider you don't need.

There's a book with a really good explanation of what happens to the fetus at about 11 weeks that causes people to feel this way, "What You Can Change and What you Can't" by Martin Seligman. Ultimately, he concludes that the only way to ever feel comfortable, if you're born this way, is to operate on the outside so that it matches the inside. Maybe it's time to stop battling and start exploring living as the other sex.

You could get your doctor to do a chromosome test, and a test for estrogen. A chromosome test may come out that you are indeed female strangely enough, it does happen or so I've heard. Higher levels of estrogen and lower testosterone would also feminize your face.

Other than that, you could be transsexual.
