Fall on what sword. According to the conspiracy nuts, he's the man behind the Bush throne.

He should quit at this point though.

Is it really such a great suprise if an extreme right wing nutter turns out to be abusing your trust. If you could put up with having a character with such odious values running your country then I would not have thought that having him arrange a dubious pay rise for his girlfriend was really here nor there. The bizarre thing about Americans is that you will put up with anything. You do not mind a war mongering right wing nutter but a corrupt war mongering right wing nutter really upsets you. Certainly the gentleman in question should fall on his sword but not over a payrise for his girlfriend. Maybe his part in the slaughter and mutilation of countless thousands of Iraqis would be a better reason.
