well, I'm a 30 year old American male, and I don't really have much of an opinion regarding Iranians. I'm sure your just a regular old person with a different culture. I spent 10 years in Saudi Arabia, so I think I accept Middle Easterners more than the average American at this point in history.

Oh, I read your answer about Muslim women. I agree. many people do not understand how Muslim women are treated. From what I've seen it is all out of respect. respect for the woman and the family.

I even understand that having multiple wives came from the crusades where almost all of the men died in war. leaving the women all alone. Out of respect for the women, men offered to marry them to help support them. Otherwise they would have been left to beg in the streets basically.

I was in love with a Muslim woman, she never professed to me that she did, but anytime that we could spend together, we both made huge efforts to do just that. but she wouldn't even allow me to shake her hand. And I admired it in a strange way.

I wish I could marry someone with such strong convictions and faithfulness.

She had a prearranged wedding in the future, I think that was the main reason she never pursued me.

Nothing but respect for the girl, no criticism from me. I hope she's happy though

I have nothing against Iranian people in general. I do believe that your leader, who keeps going on and on about wiping Israel off the planet is just ASKING for trouble. I think everyone in the world needs to put their religions aside, and learn to live like intelligent human beings. Extremists from both sides are what is wrong with this world. Between the religious extremists, the oil corporations and the megarich of the world; it is no surprise that there is so much turmoil in the world, and especially in the middle east where all the oil is.

You see, I, the average American, have nothing at all against YOU the average Iranian. With any luck we can get more of the money-mongers out of our government and maybe some leaders that are interested in peace more than oil profits. I just hope your government changes soon as well. Threatening annihalation of another country generally doesn't bring about a feeling of friendliness in the region.

I believe all governments are wrong, because they are all following either money or religion. You can't use logic when you are being ruled by an emotion (greed) or a spiritual belief.

but.. in direct answer to your question. I have nothing against someone from Iran who hasn't demonstrated themselves to be a threat to their fellow man.

Maybe if the citizens of your country and the citizens of my country started taking more of an active role in making our governments smarten up, then we could see positive changes.

Our governments are the ones pulling the strings and dictating the propaganda that pit our countries against one another. I certainly don't believe that every single Iranian is a gun-toting terrorist screaming to nuke every non-muslim. I hope that you don't believe that every American is a Jesus-freak, money hungry republican trying to steal all the oil in the world.

not really a good question as free speech is not allowed in here first off ! as there is always some nut case that wants to report your answer as abuse . but to make an asnwer like a drop of water into the ocean the ppeople are a good people led by religoius extrememists and power hungry poloticians . becoming a nuclear power will do nothing but paint a big bullseye on your country . will becoming a nuclear power gain you respect-no , put fear into the other nuclear nations -no remember saddam he too was obstinate preaching hate and threats later to be drug out of a spider hole where he was hiding as his countryman soldiers were dying fighting his battle . after the attack on innocents by the cowardly bin laden on 9/11 most of the usa has a real deep hatred for all of islam .

I have no beef with Iranians...But god help me if you or your kin kill any of us on our soil.
The repercussions should be the annihilation of Iran from the map.
That is what we should have done with Iraq just clear them all out... Purge it so to speak... And home stead it. Could have been the next US state.
Leave us alone live in this world in peace or feel our wrath!!!
If you dont like us or our culture then dont buy michael jackson records and watch our movies.

But umm...UMM LIKE I SAID I LIKE IRANIANS that is till they do something to make me mad....

My gf was iranian, she was raised here but her moral values and kindness made me weak.
I still love her after 1 year of breakup.
