or=>1-sin^2theta

or=>2cos^2theta-1

cos 2x
= cos²x - sin²x

= (1 - sin²x) - sin²x
= 1 - 2.sin²x

= 1 - 2.(1 - cos²x)
= 2cos²x + 1 - 2
= 2.cos²x - 1
