I did answer the garnishment suits and supplied the court and the creditors copies of the finalized BK. twice. I also contact my BK attorney and had him insure the creditors attorney had BK. Still the creditor must have submitted. Isn't there a law about persuing collections after discharge? My concern is getting the court order for garnishment off my credit or shown as BK.

Could be that you did not list this creditor in your BK. Don't talk to the creitor, call your attorney and he should clear this up for you with the trustee.

Why did you not answer the lawsuit with a copy of your BK?? You let it ride and they got a default judgement against you. You may not be able to clear that unless you can prove that you were not properly served notice of the suit. They would have been listed as a creditor on the BK and a copy of the BK would have shut them up.

Contact an attorney -- preferably the one who handled your BK -- but you may have screwed yourself by failing to answer the suit.
