Why do men cheat?

Question

HOw come some men cheat and some don't ? Is it just the nature of themselves or is it something their partners did or both? Is it about sex or what?

Yeah, I know what some men will say, "women cheat too". Yeah, I know that. But right now, i'm asking why men cheat coz i'm curious about it. I'm a woman and I might have to do something when I get married to prevent my husband from cheating.

And if a man cheats, does it mean he doesn't love his wife?

So, to men, if you have a very hot wife, as hot as "Ashley Hartman" or some Victoria's Secret model like Adriana Lima or Heidi Klum, would you still cheat?

please dont' answer "same reason women do" because I don't know why some women cheat because i f i get married, I don't have intention of cheating and coudn't imagine doing so.

I think usually people cheat coz there is something missing in their relationship that they think they might find elsewhere. Men want someone to complete them. No mattter how hot his wife, if she can't complete him, he will stray. I guess it boils down to being there for him in all areas and yet still continue being your true beautiful self inside out, let him not have a reason to go to someone else.

There could be a million different reasons why men cheat. The majority of them seem to be lacking something emotionally as the relationship drags on. Some just have issues to begin with, and are probably cheating long before they get married.

Some fall in love with another woman by accident. They certainly didn't mean to develop feelings for this other person, but it just sort of happened. Apparently the emotional type of cheating is worse than the physical kind because we're giving a peice of our hearts to that other woman.

My wife and I are going through this right now, and beleive me, it's a really harsh lesson that I have no escape from. The trust is completely broken, and it seems impossible to rebuild.

There are basically two reasons for a man to cheat, one, he is not getting what he needs at home (sexually) or two, he is a thrill seaker chasing that "forbidden fruit".

Women who cheat do so (as a general rule) because the are not getting any "romance" at home.

Men are basically dogs, lol, keep em fed and give them lots off lovin (you know what I mean) and they will remain faithful and content.

Women are more complicated and often just the right touch or a hug or even some soft spoken words of love are what will keep her home and satisfied.

If he is a thrill seaker there is little that you can do other than to add all the thrill you can think up, ie; sex at the drive in or in other places where there is a chance of being caught. Wake him up orally once in a while but above all, be spontanious and be open to his suggestions as well. If he is still a cheat and looking for others when you are doing all you can then it is on him and NOT you. It is then definately time to say adios.

Some men are honest and have character, and some men don't. Some men are moral and trustworthy and some are not. Men cheat because they believe women have such low self esteem and low opinions of their own self worth that they will tolerate it. In the real world the difference between a man and a dog is supposed the be the relationship of the brain to the penis. One on top and in control, the other on the same level. Your real question is abput values and morals and character. Those are the traits you need to decide on and look for. You will only get what you accept in this matter. aim high.

That really seems like a lopsided question. Why do woman cheat??
I have been cheated on by both of my ex wives, and I never strayed.
Can you answer why they cheated??
Nobody here can give you any specific answer, just a lot of guesses.
Here are a couple of mine and they apply to both men and women.
First they are insecure in themself, and feel that being with multiple people at the same time is the only way to prove they are worthy of "Love". Sounds twisted but it happens alot.
A lack of respect for anybody, mostly themself.
Actually, I think that the general point I am making here is that they act in a selfish manner at the cost of all people around them.

There is no theory to disloyalty. Even if you are the best on this earth, your partner may cheat you. The two important factors which leads to this is upbringing and circumstances. If the guy/gal is brought up in an environment where everybody is very casual with their partners or cheating partners is considered as part of the culture, its very easy to break the ice without much thought into it. Secondly, if the guy/gal have the best married life and come across someone irressitible(lookwise, smartness, witwise anything) at any point of life he/she may cheat. Nobody is a saint, but you have to draw your line!!

90% of all men cheat and you want to no why? Their father
cheated and their father cheated and so on and so on.Men get together and talk like it's normal to have a Mistress if your married.I'm talking about the 90% here.You hear women talk on here and say ( I no my husband wouldn't cheat on me) Do you no by saying something like that it makes it that much easier for your husbands to cheat on you. They think it's funny the way you trust them to do the right thing.But that is just it they don't want to do the right thing. All

Why do men cheat because they can and because they have been brainwashed into thinking that's what men do. Every woman thinks she has the one who doesn't cheat,lady's we all can't have one of the 10% that doesn't cheat now can we.

Men cheat for many reasons. Some are just philanders and are never happy with just one woman. some are sex addicts....some feel entittled to it...some get bored cheating is always a choice when you do it. If he does it he doesn't love you and nothing about what he has with you is right. You could be every woman in the world to him ....but if he wants something different he will if he gets the opportunity.You just never know what one is capable of?

One reason is they (both men and women) are seeking further validation. By cheating they receive what feels like validation from a "new" person, someone who by participating says "you are wonderful". So why do they seek this validation? Two reasons. One, because we don't truly value ourselves and have trouble anyone else can value us if we don't value us. So to "prove" to ourselves we are valuable, we cheat, thus proving nothing but kidding ourselves. Another reason is because we may not be getting sufficient validation at home. I'm inclined to put more weight in the first reason, the seeking of validation.

some men are not satisfied with what they have, just like some women. and sometimes they just cannot resist it... men are not that strong in character.... they easily go astray. yeah i think its about sex...it can also be because they do not get what they want with their partners.

yeah i think that if a man cheats his wife or partner, it means that there is nothing called love for his wife.... if he loved the wife, he would never do it... being cheated really hurts....
