When I was a boy, I wrote Brett Favre and asked him to sign 4 rookie cards. He sent them back autographed. This was before he was anybody. Are these cards worth anything?

there are companies like psa or gia that will certifie the autograph for you. they will give you an idea if autograph is legit and put in a hard case for you.

Mass produced,, there was an original Autograph then it was printed on the cards, so it was real but not each individual card was signed... ( for that you'd have to have a player sign it in person )

You could have the letter as proof. Otherwise they are worth just the value of the card. An official COA (certificate of authenticity) is usually required for it to be official. Sometimes even a picture (with you and the person) signing the item works.

to you they may be....That is the big problem with autographs..unless you either saw them sign yourself or trust the source that gave you the cards it is tough to figure out. I know that many teams have people that sign stuff other than the players. It just depends on if he got handed them or not. I would imagine he may have if it were before he was a star.
