Before Rosie came back to daytime television on the view I couldnt stand her. I didnt understand why the View would want to replace Merideth Viera with Rosie ODonnell. However, once I gave her a shot I was amazed. She brings up issues that other people (anyone on Fox News) are either too afraid to or too far up george bushs butt to. She tells the public exactly whats going on with the war in Iraq. She doesnt sugar coat how screwed up this administration is. She doesnt feed us bull like our supposed president. Even if i didnt have time to watch the entire show I would always make sure to watch Hot Topics to catch what she had to say. I think Barbara Walters made an excellent choice in picking someone who would actually express exactly what they were thinking without sugarcoating it for all the conservatives. After all...the show is called The View..so I never understood why people like Donald Trump or Bill Oreily were upset by the fact that she was giving her point of view on television...thats what she was paid to do. so yeah, i think its too bad that shes leaving but ill definitely be looking out for whatever she does next.

I used to like the view when Star, Meredith, Elizabeth, Joy and Barbra were on. You actually had conversations with differing view. Wasn't that the point of the show. Now it seems like the Rosie and Joy hate show. they hardly let anyone else finish a sentence much less actually contribute. I'll be glad when Rosie leaves. Maybe I'll actually watch the show again. They need to get back to the original plan. Several women from different demographics with differing views who respect the others opinions not just yell and argue.

I tried to watch The View before Rosie came on and I was so bored, then all this talk about her joining so I started watching and I watch it only because of her opinions and "views" I don't always agree with her of course but she spices the show up, she isn't afraid of her sexuality, weight, opinions, ect. Unless they get another out spoken host I will not watch the view, too boring, not enough controversy.

i am not a total fan of rosie but I have to say she brought a diffferent view to the table and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. i mean before her the shows were the same, they normally all agreed. i will miss rosie giving it to elisabeth, i do prefer rosie over her. oh well once rosie is gone i will no longer watch.

i don't watch the show, so it doesn't matter to me. what i do enjoy is that she won't (hopefully) be in the news on a nightly basis with her antics. i don't watch the view, but it sure feels like i do because she is always in the freaking news. i can't honestly say i could care less about her, because her rantings and overbearing manner always seems to pollute the airwaves. a hiatus from that pompous gasbag would be sheer delight and an early christmas gift for me.

now that's truthful

I don't watch "The View" so it doesn't affect me. With that said, I would be very happy if Rosie never had another line of publicity.

It's a shame too. I used to like her stand-up, way back in the day. She was REALLY funny. Now she's nothing but a misinformed hag.

Rosie's own talk show failed. When she walked onto the View for the first time, she thought it was her own talk show and continued to act that way. She's not a team player and that's what the View is all about. Goodbye Rosie.

I don't watch The View! It doesn't matter who is on there, I can always find more interesting things to watch than a show about women who are full of opinions. There are too many talk shows already. Talk talk talk. I want something energizing and interesting for a change!

Honestly, I don't often agree with Rosie but I never watched The View until she became the host. Even when they have guests on that I don't care about I make sure I tune in for the first 1/2 hour for Hot Topics.
