No - if it were, he wouldn't have an approval rating in the 20 percent range.

He's a reflection of his ability to LIE his way into office, and into war.

You couldn't bring yourself to ask the question like this: Is President Bush a reflection of the average American? Had to go and include your editorial comment in the question. The simple answer is no, there haven't been many presidents that do reflect the average American, because none of them were average Americans. Just because a person does not share your opinions doesn't mean that they are stupid.

Do you know Bush personally, do you work at the White House with him, do you work in the Pentagon with all the top secret info, or are you in Iraq with the Generals who are briefed on secret strategies? Or... are you just like 70% of all the Americans who believe everything you see in the news. You ever considered, maybe Bush knows something you don't. I've got news for you, congress doesn't know everything that Bush knows, he has all the secret information, some congressman had the privilege of some of this secret information, but some a few years ago blew it, made it public, and now they only get bits and pieces. You know why? In the constitution, only the Commander In Chief gets such a right.

President Bush does not reflect the average American. He reflects big business and corporate. Think about it, he is the company spokesman. Chaney is the silent partner. Rice is slutty member of the board who slept and conspired her way to the top. And everyone else in the cabinet are just members of the board waiting for their pensions and profits. Just like Enron.

To quote H.L. Mencken,
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

Yes...sort of.

America was pretty slow to ACCEPT that the government misled them(misled is putting it mildly) into thinking that IRAQ was behind 911 in some way.
Saddam was too busy keeping the lid on all the SH** we are into now.

Wasn't all that long ago any criticism of government policiy re IRAQ elicited cries of "traitor" and "coward".
Even after the facts were out.

But it don't take much to give Americans a hardon.
That TOP GUN BS...landing on aircraft carrier...."Mission Accomplished!" ..
Whoppee!! we won.........
right.
but hardons go away and people start to think rationally.

It's really a sign that half of Americans care more about banning abortion and gay marriage than they do the actual governance of our country.

Is it ignorance on that half? Maybe. But I think we are also a victim of a two-party system, where we are largely pigeonholed into a vote.

The day that the "3rd party" candidate is no longer seen as a waste of a vote is the day that more sensible government will arrive in town.

Surely there can't be enough dodos out there to make that level of ignorance the national average...

but then again, extreme levels of stupidity in a few individuals could bring the bar down pretty low....

I hear alot about how "ignorant" and "incompetent" George Bush is. But if I recall, it wasn't George Bush who was having sex with his intern at the White House, shoving cigars up in her, cheating on his wife, and then lying to Congress under oath after he got caught.

It wasn't George Bush who allowed Osama bin Laden to get away when the Sudanese government offered him up to this country on a silver platter.

It wasn't George Bush who pardoned criminals before leaving the White House, because he owed them political favors.

Want me to go on? Our culprit was Bill Clinton...Democrat. And he is the epitome of incompetance and ignorance.
