Yes it is. I've read both sides of the debate, and there are points I agree with both for and against... :(
People who say "DON'T kill the kangaroos" probably aren't aware that most of them (the mobs that will face culling) will die anyway due to the drought conditions we're currently facing... but that will be a long, painful, death by thirst and starvation, rather than a humane shot in the head by a certified marksman...
What to do, what to do???

Uh... BTW folks, I live in Australia,and let me tell you, there is absolutely no way that kangaroos are anywhere near extinct, nor even remotely endangered. There are hundreds of thousands, and even here in one of the largest cities in the country (Canberra, the nation's capital), we get kangaroos hopping through the suburbs regularly. Of the last five houses I've lived in, I regularly had kangaroos in back yard in three of them; and one of the other two was an apartment! There really are a lot of them - if they were endangered, there wouldn't be an issue to discuss, we would all want to save (or relocate) them.
After all - they're our National emblem and our mascot, the same way the eagle is the mascot of Americans! It just wouldn't be Australia without them... but they're NOT endangered!

I saw this video about a person that was being racist against kangaroos and drew these evil drawings of kangaroos with chopped off heads in my art class. The person also hunted kangaroos and kept shooting the poor animal in the head even after it was dead. i didn't know what it had to do with art, but anyways i think kangaroos should not be killed and also shouldn't be discriminated against either.

if you kill them you must eat them, or feed them to crocodiles. do not waste the mother spirit.
