Only get $336 in Social Security when I retire, if that ever happens.

I agree with the first poster, that is sad and I'm sorry that you are going through this.

With you receiving only that amount of money, you would probably qualify for SSI and food stamps. You might make an appointment with your local department of human services office and speak with a case worker about it.

They also have other programs that you would probably qualify for. They usually don't mention those programs on their own, so ask them about "anything" else they have that you may qualify for. For instance, I know in many, if not all, states they have a program that pays most of your phone bill (local service only, not for long distance). You would pay less than $5 per month for your local service.
You also "might" get help with your medical bills and your medications (I'm not positive on the medical one though)
They might also aid you in paying your heating and cooling bills a couple of times a year.

Good luck to you and I pray that things work out for you.

I don't believe that you will only get that amount of money when you are age 79 or when you retire as when the cost of living increases, typically one's social security allotment increases as well.

I think that is the saddest thing, I get very upset when I hear of this happening. This is something that should not happen here in the U.S.
