I keep bottled water and a first aid kit up there, so it would probably last a while.

Sorry it particularly is not an answer yet i think of u will locate it very exciting. I worked in the Ecuadorian rain woodland and that i found a large earth trojan horse. It replaced into approximately 3/4 of an inch and over a backyard long . Many if the bugs get very large there as they could be 10 years previous.

The only reason I'm responding to this question is because it gave me the best laugh I've had all day! If I ever put myself in a position for an earthworm to crawl up my butt, it would be because I'm dead and buried. Therefore, the answer is...., he would live out his natural lifespan 'cause he will keep on "cruising". LOL:>).

You have no oxygen in there...no real nutrients in complete form found in soil....no WATER, or at least enough to live. They absorb things through their skin...water, nutrients, etc. And, you have little enzymes and what-not that might not be worm friendly... BUT! if your thinking about this, you probably know that your gerbil lived at least 1 min. Try it! Let us know what happens! :)

I would not be there long because what you are will push it out.

Some worms do live inside of animals like us and they survive and multiply.
