Firstly, did she say exactly why she wants out? You need to know why, if you hope to get her to stay married to you. It's really very sad, but after 30 years, something must have happened to change her feelings for you. If she no longer loves you, then you have no choice but to let her go. If it's something you can change, then you have a chance. I've been married 30 years, so I know how much of your life you have invested in your marriage, and wish you all the best. Just remember, it's not the end of the world, maybe just a new beginning, look after yourself.

Well Im sure you know why its happened and have accepted whybut its so sad you will lose a freind now too. Is there nothing you can do now or is it all too late.? Come on there must be something you can do ! Did she just stop loving you ? Why ? Did she say why ? Accept the reasons why if there are any. If not she owes it to you to sit down and explain why or you will always be confused .

Didn't you see it coming, something happened a wife just doesn't want out for no reason.Who cheated on who? I'm not
being mean to you,you just haven't said anything.I would love to help you,I no what it's like waiting for your spouse to leave
you and knowing that there isn't a thing you can do.Your heart is braking and you want to run to her and tell her just how much you have always loved her and it will kill you to see her walk out the front door for the last time. You need to do something fast before that day comes.I am sorry for your pain.

This song sprung to mind the minute I read your Q
I was tired of my lady, we'd been together too long.
Like a worn-out recording, of a favorite song.
So while she lay there sleeping, I read the paper in bed.
And in the personals column, there was this letter I read:
If you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
If you're not into yoga, if you have half-a-brain.
If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape.
I'm the lady you've looked for, write to me, and escape.
I didn't think about my lady, I know that sounds kind of mean.
But me and my old lady, had fallen into the same old dull routine.
So I wrote to the paper, took out a personal ad.
And though I'm nobody's poet, I thought it wasn't half-bad.
Yes, I like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
I'm not much into health food, I am into champagne.
I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon, and cut through all this red tape.
At a bar called O'Malley's, where we'll plan our escape.
So I waited with high hopes, then she walked in the place.
I knew her smile in an instant, I knew the curve of her face.
It was my own lovely lady, and she said, "Oh, it's you."
And we laughed for a moment, and I said, I never knew...
That you liked Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
And the feel of the ocean, and the taste of champagne.
If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape.
You're the love that I've looked for, come with me, and escape.
If you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
If you're not into yoga, if you have half-a-brain.
If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape.
You're the love that I've looked for, come with me, and escape.
I don't know how but try and Fall in love with each other, all over again

WHY does she want out? I approached my spouse of 27 years and wanted out because he always treated me " less than". I finally got a backbone and boundaries and threw out the door mat. He's getting help and things are looking up. Intimacy helps alot. I had to actually get divorce papers before he would try to improve his behavior.
