My oldest son earned his degree in Psychology at UCLA and eventually found his way into the Los Angeles Counties Children and Family Services Department as a Dependency Investigator. He loves his work. His earnings are solid and vacation time is excellent.
Good luck.

A BSc is physchology will get you a decent paying job as a research assistant for both private and public sectors. A BA will basically let your work anywhere in a lower paid, ground level job in business and some other fields. To really focus on Psychology and be successful in the field with real advancement and pay, you basically need a Master or PhD. This will let you teach as a prof, become a research associate and eventually research head, become a clinical psychologist (like a psychiatrist but without prescription abilities), or enter management jobs in any field imaginable.

My sister has a bachelors in psych, and she has had two jobs as a clinical research associate. They handle the logistics of medical research, calling patients and doing a lot of paperwork, and it is a very high demand field right now. It would help to get a BS instead of a BA, if available.
