I ask this because lately I find myself watching his program. I know that he seems to piss off a lot of politicians, however its only because he ask them why they aren't doing there jobs. I'm not a huge fan of his... But it is nice to turn on a news channel from to time and see a reporter not only bring you the news but try and figure out why its happening and continues to happen.
No other news program that I know of will ask why? They just want to let you know what happened today. And that solves nothing. I like the hard questions. Make people do there jobs. Make the government crackdown on illegals who commit crimes. Hold people accountable. I just honestly don't see what he is doing wrong? Make every state pass Jessica's Law... I don't agree with him all the time...

I think we need more programs like his... Maybe not how he comes across... But someone has got to start asking questions WHY?

Because he tells it like it is and politicians hate that.

Ok, well I cant speak for everyone but the reason that I don't like Bill Oreilly is because he is so far up the presidents butt. According to him the president can do no wrong...actually according to him conservatives can do no wrong..as long as they agree with everything he says and everything the administration says. The fact that he is on Fox News though says so much about him. He runs a smear campaign against liberals. I've always found it so interesting that he calls a portion of his show the No Spin Zone. I've watched him during this and its hilarious! And by hilarious, I mean sad. Because no spin mean no spin right? I mean its like non partisan right? You're supposed to just tell whats up without injecting your opinion or turning it into whatever BS is on your agenda for that day. well, id like to see that sometime from him during the no spin zone...And I suppose another thing that I don't like about him is that he sticks his nose where it doesn't belong. He rubbed me the wrong way when he started slamming Rosie O'Donnell for giving her opinion about the Iraq war. Well, considering that she's on a show called The View..and its about that particular group of ladies giving their point of view...then im gonna have to go ahead and say she was just doing her job. And I understand that he's upset because she's just verbalizing everything that hes trying to keep under wraps...along with everyone else on Fox News...but get over it! He gives his opinions on his show but apparently the second that someone else wants to talk about this war (that we shouldn't even be involved in) or anything else he doesn't agree with on a daily basis its a no-no and hes going to stick his nose in there where it doesn't even belong and try to tear them down.

Most of the people who don't like him don't agree with him or his views. Others believe that he's too bossy and hogs the conversation not allowing his guests to speak sometimes. I think that sometimes he comes across as arrogant and "all knowing" when on certain topics I clearly saw that he was wrong but hey what do I know. I think he's doing a good thing with Jessica's Law though.

He tells a lot of half-truths, outright lies and frequently employs ad hominem and straw man arguments when debating guests. He often takes credit for awards he never won and denies saying things when that transcripts prove he has said. When a guest says something he doesn't agree with or to which he is unable to render an intelligent response, he cuts their microphone off like a little boy taking his ball and going home.

Add to that his sexual harassment suit from a few years ago and you have a man that is basically just a JACKASS.

He is for the right what Rosie O'Donnell is for the left.

I don't hate him, just his tactics. He'll go on for 45 minutes,
making complete sense, then say one thing that contradicts
everything he just said.
He also has the habit of cutting off people with views, other
than his.
If you really want the best common sense version of the news,
check out Countdown on MSNBC. It's on the same time
as O'Reilly. (At the end, if Keith Olbermann is there, he'll do
the "worst people in the world" - it's funny)

he is a Jack A $ $. I agree with most of his views but he supports only his view, he ask people questions, and even if they are on the same side of something, when they say something that he doesn't like he turns on them, cutting them off and does not let other views on too his show. I have watched is show from time to time, and think he is worse then Rush windbag. He thinks what he thinks, and won't listen to other view points.

I think a lot of people see him as being largely biased. I myself used to vaguely despise him until I actually watched a few episodes of his show - suddenly he didn't seem so bad. So I'm guessing a lot of people who "hate" him were just ignorant like me and didn't even bother to watch his program before passing judgment. Plus he says some pretty outlandish things at time! He's still not my favorite person at all as I don't agree with many of his views, but again, I think the whole "I hate Bill O'Reilly" thing stems from ignorance.

I like him too, and people will never agree with everyone, but that does not make us right or others wrong....we must learn to respect others religions and ways of life...xoxoxxoturtlegirl

They do not like that he speaks his mind. He is very brash and will argue with guests. Not many hosts will argue today. He also has the number one show, and that can cause professional resentment.
