OCD is obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is manifested by a strong compulsion to repeat actions over and over - washing one's hands, for example, or checking to make sure that the stove is turned off. Even if the person has just done it 5 seconds before, they get an overwhelmingly strong signal to do it again and again.
Ritualistic behavior (turning the lights on and off five times exactly before leaving the house; starting a project over again from scratch because one piece wasn't done in order) is also characteristic, as is a high level of anxiety and even panic attacks. OCD can be controlled with medication to some extent, but as with any other behavioral illness there are degrees - some folks are a little bit compulsive and others are off the charts.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Many people have some slight degree of this. It's when you have a little bit of a perfectionist side. This can be moderate like if you can't stand when someone colors outside of the lines. Or it can be severe like if you do anything it has to be in pairs or you have to do it with the opposite hand the same amount of times or being obsessive about keeping things in their places. Hope this was helpful.

Obsessive compulsive disorder. It is an anxiety disorder.. meaning, people have impulses to do things on a regular basis. I have slight OCD as I constantly wash my hands, arrange items on my desk at 90º angles, I can never walk on the cracks in a sidewalk.. random, crazy things like that. Have you ever watched Monk? He has OCD, reaaaaally bad.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Someone that has to wash their hands every ten minutes or so. They need everything spotless and clean and even sterile.
Cleaning the kitchen counters, just going overboard with cleaning and other things.
Here is a website with more info about it.

an obsession is an obtrusive thought that persists in your mind until you perform a compulsion (counting, cleaning, sorting, etc.) in order to rid your mind of your obsession. it becomes a disorder if it interferes with your daily functioning. OCD is rooted in a person feeling a lack of conrol over their life. now, are you thoroughly confused??

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder...where you have a task that you have to do repeatedly. Such as washing your hands constantly or counting something repeatedly. And not being able to stop doing these things.
