When you face a circle (like a tree) you're behind it. Turn your back to it and it's behind you.

Determine where the front of the tree/circle is located or mark a spot and label that spot as the front, then stand directly opposite of that!

It depends which way it's facing. If it's an outward facing one, then get inside it. If it's inward facing, then outward.
