Just about everyone here knows Spanish (at least partially) but I say take German for this reason, the less people who work in the professional world that know German means more money for you in the long run. Plus there are too many variations of Spanish, I took Spanish for seven years and I still don't know it like I should. It seems that the people who truly know Spanish were raised with it being their first language or they lived in Spain for some time. I would take any language over Spanish any day. There are many Hispanic people that don't know the language the way it is taught in school.

Absolutely Spanish. There are many Spanish speaking people in America. Also, if you know Spanish and you are applying for a job in the U.S. that is a big plus to have on your resume. Learning Spanish first, makes learning several other languages easier too. Specifically, the Italian and French languages.

Learn both! Spanish is more useful in the US, but German is more fun when traveling in Europe. If you are looking for some news sites, radio stations, or software to start learning a new language check out www.zesez.com

Definitely Spanish. I think it's used more than German. And it can be the basic for you to learn other language after that.

Spanish is becoming the most popular second language in the U.S. Some companies will pay you extra if you know how to speak Spanish.

The choice of language depends on different factors, such as your field of study and where you'll be living and working (what part of the U.S.) The technical field uses more German, so you might find German more useful if you're going for something technical. On the other hand, Spanish is more useful if you're going to work with customers, especially in the southern states, such as Georgia, Florida and Texas.

Spanish is muchh much much much much more useful than German. There are so many people in this country who speak Spanish and so many people who aren't Hispanic that are learning Spanish. It would be very helpful to learn Spanish.. it can even increase your salary for your job when you get one.
