I bought gas today because I needed it not in protest for tomorrow. But I've been looking for this April 1997 protest and can't find it. If gas prices dropped over night then, then why was the protest just in April and not on a certain day like the 15 of May.

ITS SUPPLY AND DEMAND. IF YOU DO NOT BUY GAS LIKE USUAL IT WILL RAISE DEMANDS ON THE NEXT DAY CAUSING THE PRICES TO RISE AGAIN. THAT'S WHY THEY ARE HIGH NOW. LET'S NOT SHOOT OURSELVES IN THE FOOT. HOW BOUT RIDE A BIKE TO WORK FROM NOW ON, THAT WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE. ASSUMING ITS COMUTABLE OF COURSE.

I didn't buy today. tomarrow I will buy as little as possible.
I agree. we should spend more time not buying, like for a week or so not just one day

the price of gas at the store I go to get gas went up 10 cents today. I believe it was a strategic financial move to make up for the non pumpers

I am getting ready to tranistion into a bike. I have a large amount of debt I'm paying now, but when I'm done, this summer, I'm getting a bike.

my entire house is lit inside with energy efficient bulbs.

something like 670 watts to now 56 watts. not bad

I will buy gas when I need it. Gas companies wont drop gas prices over night just because they didn't make profit in one day. Besides, some one some where will buy gas on that given day anyway. The more likely thing that these companies will do is raise prices to make up for a lack of revenue from the day before. I'm sick of the text messages saying don't buy gas blah blah blah. It wont work!!!!

*Ps: That anti gas protest was today. Didn't work at least around here, gas stations were as busy as ever and I was on empty.

the only thank you to effectively do this (and that i doubt this might artwork), is to not USE gas on that day. in case you utilize gas, yet wait til day after today to replenish, you're nevertheless paying for the gas. the only thank you to not purchase gas is to not use it. not that i think of that should artwork. Oh, and playstation , your math is incorrect. not each American on the information superhighway has a vehicle, not to point out a license, and not to point out being sufficiently previous to force. I hate hippies.

I'm not buying gas tomorrow, but I wouldn't anyway. A tank of gas can last me up to four or five weeks. I live within four blocks of my job, so I just commute on foot.

I only use my car for running errands on weekends, or for job-related situations where I have to go off-site.
