No silver dollars were made in 1776. The U.S. Mint didn't come in to existence until 1793. You do not have an 1865 dollar, but some kind of token or medal. The Washington quarter design came in 1932, that is quite a few years from 1865. You need to describe both sides. You have asked this question before and got the same answers, unless you give a good description of both sides you will be asking this question forever. PS: You can't have any silver dollars dated 1905 or 06 for they were not made that year. Sorry to sound grumpy here but you need to give all the facts.

It is likely what you have is a counterfeit coin manufactured somewhere like China, and it is probably not made of silver or made in 1865. Does it have "FAC" & "SIMILE" under the wings? Perhaps they confused Washington with Lincoln who died in 1865. I recommend you take the item to a local coin dealer or two for an evaluation. I hope that helps.

Go to pcgs.com to get some idea of the retail value. Unless you know how to grade a coin you could get some interesting results. A better idea is to take the coins to a dealer and see what he would offer. Remember a dealer can not offer you full retail, he has to be able to make a profit.
