I think you are speaking of George W., as he is the person trying to block the protection of gay people under the law?
I think a better question would read:
If George W. were to father a gay child, how would he react? But I know that answer.
1 Denial: "No not my kid. My son's a MAN."
2 Blame: "It's you fault... All them gays on your side of the family."
3 Bergen and barter: "Well accept it but keep it in the closet."
4 Acceptance
These are the steps we all go through when dealing with “loss”. And they are well understood by the psychiatric community.
It's the president's lack of a gay child... grandchild, relative, that he's never had to look into his own hart and deal with his homophobic attitude. So he is able to bye votes from the extreme right by playing up to that groups homophobia.

Bush would have gotten a time machine and had the women get an abortion. Because as we know, homosexuality is the cardinal sin to conservatives, even surpassing abortion.

I haven't gotten from Bush that he is the overly judgmental type. He hasn't disowned his daughters, and they've been a bit wild.

He would be respected and loved just as Mary Cheney is by her parents. He may even work for his father, Mary Cheney ran her father's campaigns.
