In most states, the answer is no. In fact, when you turn 18, you could be facing a statutory rape charge if you continue your relationship. If you think her home environment is a problem, contact children's services. They can make other arrangements for her if it's necessary. And please discuss the possibility of adoption.

No thats illegal. You're legal and she's not. It's like kidnapping her. Her mother is her LEGAL guardian and what she says goes in the eyes of the law. If I were her mother I would want my child and grandchild to stay with me especially with her being so young and its her first child. Plus staying with you got her in the position she is in now a pregnant teenager. There will be things you can't handle not even your mother can handle. Its a two way deal it has to work between both families. Maybe she can stay over sometimes..Possibly weekends during the school year and some days through the week in the summer. I know you have probably heard this before but you guys should have used protection. Its not cute that you guys are having a baby before marriage and before you're 20! Its so sad...Condoms are cheap! MUCH cheaper than raising a child your entire lives. over 50% of teenage couples who have babies break up within the first year. It would be so sad if that happened to the child over one stupid night of pleasure...All I can say is good luck..

That would depend on where u live? However most states the child under 17 would have to be emancipated by a judge. This would mean she would have to go to court and the judge would have to sign an order for her to move out of her parents house. Do some searching on the net or check with the county court house? Good luck and i hope it all works out for u!

That all depends on the laws where you live. If the government considers her an 'adult' then she can move out whenever she wants to. Her mother may be just being overprotective. Keep in mind you did get her baby girl pregnant before she finished school and got herself a career creating things abit more difficult for her. You can always get your mother to talk to her and change her mind.

do you work? that might be why her mom says no. are you prepared to provide for this girl and your baby? you have NO IDEA what your getting into. the day that baby is born, you'll go atleast six months to a year of never getting a full nights sleep. theres no way you can make enough money to pay every bill that comes along. you cant began to imagine the amount of diapers your going to buy. if you love your baby and want whats best for him/she, then put the baby up for adoption. theres no shame in wanting a loving and secure home for a child, especially when people will be trying to talk you into killing it before it can even take its first breath. how much do you love your baby?

i desire you're conscious that the toddler remains breastfeeding at 2 months... easily in case you fairly wanna see your toddler, make the attempt. this is maximum no longer likely uncomplicated for the lady the two. So attempt and stability it out till the toddler is somewhat older and could stay decrease than your care. Edit: via ways... mom's milk is fairly significant for the toddler because it enables to have a solid immune device sooner or later and enables the toddler's progression. So whether that's a weekend, this is nevertheless significant.

This is a legal question. You are both still minors and you wouldn't want to cause a legal problem for your mother. You might call the local police department and ask them if it would be legal.

Also, "don't burn any bridges"...you all may need her mother's support someday...and inevitably, expectant mothers seem to eventually want their mommies. You also will want your child to have all the loving family members he/she can possibly have.

Peace be with you!

Being pregnant does not emancipate you in any way, except in matters of hospitalization, which means the only difference is she can consent to medical treatment with respect to her pregnancy.

This also means she cannot move out without her mother allowing her to do so, and she is completely still under control of her mother, who I assume has guardianship.

well since she is a minor she has the law on her side.
She is still her Moms responsibility and can you all ride it out until she is 18 'yrs old?
Have you thought about marriage?
Ask her mom for her hand ?
at any rate don't do anything stupid ,like running off ,with her ,you are becoming a Dad and you need to be around for that lil one.

In most states her mother could sign papers saying she can live somewhere else, but otherwise she would have to be emancipated which means she has to prove she can provide for herself and get the states permission.
