I was told the rear brakes have to be disconnected from power source before working on them. Was told they are under high pressure and if did not use the correct scan tool or disconnect power it was highly likely they might explode due to the high pressure they are under.

Since I don't have any diagnostic or scan tools can I just disconnect the battery? ANd, were is the battery located?

Thank you

well if you dont know how to do the rear brakes nor know where the battery is, why dont you pay someone that is qualified to do that kind of work for you?

That is like asking: where is the liver inside of your body and how do you cut it out i want to try this transplant myself

positioned fairly timber or something good interior the caliper to take the region of the rotor. you will then have 3 brakes quite of four. securely tie the caliper up so it won't hit something. be careful in case you hit the brakes not elementary it is going to pull to a minimum of one area. OR bend the steel brake line to it in a million/2 or flatten with a hammer to seal it off. same precautions shop on with. you will nee to interchange it later. what befell to the unique rotor? Steve's vice grip concept could be stable too.

just what are you going to do to the brakes? replace the pads? if so you do need to turn off the level ride system before you jack up the rear suspension..off/on switch should be located in the trunk. .other than that, nothing else required...

i don't know who told you this but if they was under that much pressure they would burst, there isn't any pressure applied to the brakes unless you mash on the pedal while the hubs are off or you have the calipers off of it if it has 4 wheel disc on it,but its not going to explode on you,and you don't need to unhook the battery either, good luck with it.

wow did someone ever try to take you for a ride.....no way just leave the key off you be fine.....unless you apply the brakes (push peddle) there will be NO pressure bleed the bleed screw slowly and you will be fine.....the suspension on the other hand is a different story it is under pressure.
