Yaz birth control pills after miscarriage?

I had a chemical pregnancy (miscarriage very early in pregnancy) last month (April 19th) and only bleed for 3 days. I started taking Yaz on April 22 my doctor said that it should be effective after 14 days around May 9th or 10th I started dark brown spotting (old blood) and it just stopped today I am supposed to start taking the white sugar pills tomorrow. I have gained about 2-4 pounds (which is odd because Yaz is a slight diuretic) and my breasts have gotten larger. I have also noticed that the veins on my breasts are more visible and my cervix is slightly soft. I know this is something that happens in in pregnancy but can it also be because of the birth control pills?
