I've waited so long to say stuff like this.
30 Seconds To Mars and Evanescence would make the biggest alt rock hits ever.
AFI and A Static Lullaby. AFI writing/insturments with ASL's vocals would make one sick emo masterpiece.
As I Lay Dying and In This Moment for the Metal chart topper.
Atreyu and A Static Lullaby. Pretty much self explanatory.

Yes and Led Zeppelin, because all the members of both bands are stellar musicians and they are different enough from each other to mesh into a new collaborative creation.
You wouldn't want to mesh two bands that were similar.
A cool hybrid of styles would give a better chance on something new.
