There is a guy who every day comes home from work and he takes the elevator down to the main floor. When he comes home, he walks up 4 levels .He doesn't like exercise and hes not avoiding someone.

The gentleman in the elevator is a "Little Person". He can reach the ground floor button at the bottom of the lift's display, but can't reach the one for his floor, which is higher up.

This is an old riddle. The guy is a midget, so he can't reach his floor's button. But he can reach the lobby button, which is why he rides it going down. Usually this riddle includes the line "If somebody is in the elevator when he gets in, then he rides all the way to the top. Otherwise, he rides only up to floor 4 then walks the rest of the way."
Classic riddle, but you would think that after a few days the midget would bring a cane or something to press the buttons, or ask the superintendent if he could leave a stool in the elevator.
